Partnership Promise

We ask those desiring to become Life Pointe Partners to commit to supporting Life Pointe in the ways outlined in the Promise below.


When you fill out your Partnership Application there is a spot to indicate your agreement with the Partnership Promise.

The Life Pointe Partnership Promise

Having received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, having been baptized as a public declaration of that decision, being in agreement with the mission, vision, values and doctrine of Life Pointe Church, and being led by the Holy Spirit, I am choosing to become a Partner of Life Pointe Church. In doing so, I commit myself to Jesus Christ, to the leaders, and to others in the Life Pointe family to do the following:


I WILL PROTECT THE UNITY OF MY CHURCH


By acting in love toward others

By refusing to gossip

By proactively pursuing reconciliation when I am in conflict with others in the body

By following the leaders

 

If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.  But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses.  If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. MATTHEW 18:15-17


Be diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. EPHESIANS 4:3


Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

I WILL SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MY CHURCH


By praying for its growth and health

By inviting the unchurched to attend

By warmly and sincerely welcoming guests

 

To the church… We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 THESSALONIANS 1:1-3

 

Go out…and urge anyone you find to come, so that the house will be full. LUKE 14:23, TLB


Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. ROMANS 15:7


I WILL SERVE THE MINISTRY OF MY CHURCH


By identifying and investing my gifts and other abilities in responsible service

By proactively pursuing growth and increased effectiveness in my ministry

By cultivating a servant’s heart


Serve one another with the particular gifts God has given each of you. 1 PETER 4:10

 

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. EPHESIANS 4:11-12


Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus… taking the form of a servant… PHILIPPIANS 2:4-5, 7


I WILL SUPPORT THE WITNESS OF MY CHURCH


By attending church on Sundays consistently

By participating faithfully in a Life Group or other small group

By living a godly life

By giving generously and obediently

 

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. ACTS 2:42

 

Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.  HEBREWS 10:25


Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ. PHILIPPIANS 1:27


The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.  2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-8
